GO! Singapore Chinese Team

The Olympic council can set all kinds of rules that allow a mercenary foreigner-turned-citizen to be legally allowed to represent their adopted country but like a romance gone awfully wrong, you can win the race, the medal and almost everything else, except pride and the heart of those.... who still has a heart.

So what if 'Other countries' are doing the same thing? if we want to compare, I will start with the salary of our ministers.

I have no problem that a China born citizen represent Singapore in any races, but the pre-condition of him or her becoming one is what I have problem with.
If as long as we cheapen our citizenship and offer it to someone who is good in a certain sports ...... then everything is a merely a commercial transaction. There is simply no pride or honor in paying money to entice someone over JUST to play table tennis because we WANT a medal. Let's not talk about the pride of seeing our national flag fly high in any sports event. It is shameful
